About Me
Hi, I’m Grace. I’m a freelance writer who’s 40 going on 41.
I’ve had a colourful career that spanned 15 years in the corporate sector, before I left to set up my own company, O2 Writing Services in 2018. Since then, I have been a full-time freelancer, based in Puchong.
Back in the corporate days, I have established myself as the go-to person whenever a writing job needs to be done, for I play multifaceted roles - the thinker, the writer, the translator, the editor, and even the solution finder.
My niche is in corporate writing. I last worked in Corporate Communications and Branding at a top private hospital in Selangor, specialising in:
- Press releases
- Event reporting
- Annual reports
- Newsletters
- Corporate profile and website
- Event overall flow & Emcee scripts
- Marketing collaterals, invitation emails and event sponsorship deck
- Event speeches and MD's column in Newsletter (for Managing Director and CEO)
Then, in a brief stint with Human Capital (HR Dept), I wrote and screened through:
- Employee Memo
- Job ads
- Employee branding
- Formal letters to companies and government (Eng & BM)
- Recording minutes of meeting for senior management
Fast forward to today. I am working diligently to develop my own company, O2 Writing Services, by providing various services such as writing for clients from different industries, translation (English-BM and/or Mandarin), proofreading and editing.
Aside from project basis that provides me with flexible timing work, I am up for long-term basis and retainer roles, as this would provide some extra income for me.
A little “Fun Fact” about me?
Though not my native language, Bahasa Melayu was my favourite and top subject in school, one that I usually excelled in. Therefore, I am open to the idea of working with clients who need a BM writer.
For companies looking for a part-time/retainer English writer, I trust having an experienced writer in the team can help take the anxiety out of writing for you, as I can help complete your on-hand jobs professionally and on-time. You can then focus on what matters most – running your business.
Thank you!
